Anyone have trouble with the login time for student computers? I am seriously thinking about having the kids use their cell phone for access to the internet for simple tasks such as finding vocab definitions, class polling, reading QR codes etc to cut down on the wasted login time.
I know that every student probably uses his/her phone to text sometime throughout the day. I think that having the phones out and using them productively might discourage them from using them for banned phone usage such as texting/facebooking, etc.

First Post
Just read Will Richardson's book about web tools for the classroom. Interesting how he actually incorporated real life examples and not just the thoery behind it. In my opinion, more books need to be written this way. As an educator I am tired of hearing how a class should look, but am happy to now see how they CAN look.
